Eddie stares at your hand, and then at you.
“I thought it was yours.”
“This is a man’s underwear, Eddie. Somebody left it in the dryer at the laundromat.”
He pauses for a moment, and then flings it across the room like a spider. Grabbing you around the middle, he pulls you onto him and places a finger on your mouth. “Shh…it’ll hear us.” When you stir, he holds you tighter.

“Oh hey, man! Nice to meet you. Nobody told me you played golf.” Your brother looks confused. “Pass the ol’ pigskin over here, buddy.” Nate settles into a catcher’s stance, bending at the knees and punching his palm. Your brother tosses the basketball to him, and Nate yells, “FORE!”
